New Delhi, Oct 10 (NationPress) The business sector in India is called upon to spearhead the country’s economic evolution through innovation, collaboration, and leadership with a purpose, stated Union Minister of State for Communications, Dr Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar, on Friday.
While speaking at the 'IMC 25 Awards' ceremony, the minister emphasized the remarkable strides India has made, pointing out that the nation is currently at an extraordinary inflection point amidst swift digital transformation and technological upheaval.
“Today’s India is not the same as it was five years ago,” he stated, highlighting that businesses now function in a landscape characterized by innovation, sustainability, and global interconnectedness.
In his vision for the future, Dr Sekhar urged companies to adopt artificial intelligence, prioritize research and development, and cultivate an environment that encourages experimentation.
He also advocated for partnerships with startups, mentorship of MSMEs, and alignment with government efforts, asserting that “the future is for ecosystems, not monopolies.”
Stressing the need for profit to align with purpose, he remarked that “ESG is not just a compliance tick-box but the social contract for 21st-century enterprises.”
While congratulating the awardees, he indicated that receiving these accolades is both a privilege and a duty: “These awards symbolize not a destination but fuel for future endeavors. They remind us that success brings significant responsibilities to employees, communities, and the nation.”
He praised the entrepreneurial spirit of those who took the leap to start businesses, reminding attendees that “ninety-seven percent of aspiring entrepreneurs never take the first step, but you did.”
The minister encouraged India’s business leaders to be unwavering in their quest for excellence. “Stay hungry. Keep building. I envision the architects of Atmanirbhar Bharat,” he remarked, dreaming of a future where 'Made in India' signifies quality, innovation, and global prestige.
