New Delhi, March 11 (NationPress) Indian airlines are poised to increase their flight operations from the conflict-impacted Gulf region on Wednesday, as the government closely monitors the evolving dynamics in West Asia and their potential effects on air travel between India and the area.

Flight schedules show that Air India and Air India Express will initiate services to Riyadh starting March 12, while Indigo will launch its Mumbai–Riyadh–Mumbai routes from the same day.

According to a statement from the Civil Aviation Ministry, SpiceJet has received approval for alternate airport operations to ensure ongoing safety and flexibility, while Akasa Air has been advised to synchronize its planned Mumbai-Riyadh-Mumbai flights with the existing operational landscape, expected to commence on March 12, 2026.

On March 11, Air India and Air India Express are scheduled to operate a combined total of 58 flights to and from the West Asia region.

The airlines are maintaining their scheduled services to Jeddah and Muscat on March 11, with a total of 8 flights to Jeddah and 14 flights from Muscat, as reported by the airlines.
