Air India and Air India Express Set to Resume Flights to Jeddah and Muscat

New Delhi, March 9 (NationPress) - It has been confirmed that Air India and Air India Express will be facilitating flights to and from Jeddah and Muscat on Tuesday, as the airspaces over Saudi Arabia and Oman remain accessible, according to an announcement made on Monday.
The two airlines will collectively operate a total of 14 flights to and from Jeddah, while Air India Express will manage another 14 flights to and from Muscat.
On the scheduled day, Air India will conduct one round-trip from Delhi and two round trips from Mumbai to Jeddah, while Air India Express will provide one round trip each from Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mangaluru, and Kozhikode as stated by the airline.
Moreover, Air India Express will maintain its regular services to Muscat, including one round trip each from Delhi, Kannur, Kochi, Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tiruchirappalli.
In addition to these scheduled services, both Air India and Air India Express will operate a total of 32 ad-hoc non-scheduled flights between various Indian cities and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Tuesday, depending on the availability of slots and other conditions at the respective departure points.
“These flights are being conducted with the appropriate permissions from relevant Indian and local regulatory bodies,” the airline stated.
Air India will execute 10 non-scheduled flights to and from Dubai, which will include three round trips from Mumbai and two round trips from Delhi. Air India Express is set to offer one round trip each to Dubai from Mumbai and Bengaluru.
Furthermore, Air India Express will operate 18 non-scheduled flights to and from other emirates within the UAE, which comprises one round trip each to Abu Dhabi from Bengaluru and Mumbai, one round trip each to Sharjah from Bengaluru and Mumbai, and one round trip each to Ras Al-Khaimah from Delhi, Bengaluru, Kochi, along with two round trips from Mumbai.
At the same time, scheduled operations of the Air India group to and from other locations in West Asia have been cancelled until March 13.
Passengers with bookings on any of the cancelled flights may easily rebook for a future date without incurring any additional charges or choose to receive a full refund, as per the airline's announcement.
IndiGo also commented on Monday that despite the ongoing volatile conditions in the Middle East, it has been diligently collaborating with the relevant authorities in India and the respective destinations to progressively restore its scheduled network in the Middle East and Europe.
“IndiGo resumed its scheduled flights, in a phased manner, to and from selected destinations in the Middle East starting from March 3, 2026, successfully operating over 165 flights and transporting more than 22,000 customers between India and the region,” the budget airline reported.
