New Delhi, May 2 (NationPress) The India AI Mission, operating under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), announced a strategic partnership with Intel India on Friday to enhance Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities and skill development.
The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two entities aims to empower young individuals, professionals, startups, and leaders in the public sector to leverage the vast potential of AI. This collaboration emphasizes the mutual goal of advancing AI readiness, fostering the AI startup ecosystem, and fortifying AI-led governance across India.
"The IndiaAI Mission is dedicated to establishing India as a global frontrunner in AI by promoting inclusive innovation, ensuring the development of responsible AI, and improving public service delivery efficiency. This partnership with Intel India will facilitate the creation of a data lab aimed at training youth in data science and AI," stated Abhishek Singh, Additional Secretary of MeitY and CEO of IndiaAI Mission.
"Our collaboration with Intel for YuvaAI has already trained thousands of students in fundamental AI concepts. We are excited to continue this journey with Intel to leverage their global technical expertise for the India AI Mission," he added.
This partnership will concentrate on essential programs including YuvaAI empowers (targeting school students), StartupAI (for startups), and IndiaAI Dialogues (for public sector leaders and policy practitioners). It will also facilitate the scaling of Bhashini to remote classrooms throughout India focusing on AI.
