New Delhi, June 3 (NationPress) A recent report reveals that Indians are among the most enthusiastic individuals worldwide regarding the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in daily life. The YouGov survey, covering 17 markets, indicates that 30 percent of Indians exhibit the highest excitement level about the advancement of AI. Moreover, 27 percent of Indian respondents maintain a positive outlook on AI.
Additionally, the survey highlights that Indians possess the greatest engagement potential at 55 percent, surpassing residents of the UAE (51 percent) and Indonesia (48 percent).
On a global scale, only 16 percent of respondents express optimism regarding AI’s future impact, while a mere 7 percent exhibit excitement. The strongest optimism is observed in Hong Kong, where 33 percent convey positive sentiments about AI. Residents of the UAE (21 percent) also show considerable enthusiasm about AI’s growth.
Conversely, the survey indicates that worldwide perceptions of AI’s expanding role in daily life over the next decade are more cautious than optimistic. More than 22 percent of global respondents identify as ‘cautious’ regarding AI’s evolution.
In India, only 13 percent of participants expressed caution compared to higher rates in Indonesia (34 percent), Poland (33 percent), France (30 percent), Singapore (27 percent), and Spain (26 percent).
Furthermore, 17 percent of global participants feel ‘concerned’ about AI, with the highest levels in France (27 percent), the US (26 percent), and Great Britain (25 percent). In contrast, only 8 percent of Indian respondents expressed concern over AI.
When it comes to interacting with AI-generated influencers, around 23 percent of respondents globally are inclined to engage with these virtual personalities. In stark contrast, western countries like Great Britain, Denmark, and the US (all at 11 percent) show the least likelihood of engagement with AI-generated influencers, as respondents from these regions prefer not to interact with AI influencer content.
This data is derived from surveys conducted among adults aged 18+ in 17 markets, with sample sizes ranging from 501 to 2,003 for each region.
