Mercedes-Benz India Set to Launch 8 New Models This Year Alongside 20 New Touch Points

New Delhi, Jan 10 (NationPress) The renowned luxury automobile brand Mercedes-Benz India is on track to introduce at least eight new models in 2025, as it achieved its highest-ever sales figure of 19,565 units in the domestic market last year, propelled by the surging demand for premium vehicles in a swiftly growing economy.
According to Santosh Iyer, Managing Director of Mercedes-Benz India, the strategy for 2025 is well-defined, with the company aiming to enhance its product lineup and expand luxury touch points throughout India.
The German automotive giant intends to invest Rs 450 crore in India over the next three years and plans to establish 20 new touch points by the conclusion of this year.
Furthermore, Mercedes-Benz India is set to launch the highly anticipated 'AMG GLE 53 Coupe' in the second quarter of this year.
In the previous year, the automaker recorded a robust 12.4 percent year-on-year growth, with all four quarters showing exceptional performance.
The notable growth in the latter half of last year was attributed to the success of the long-wheelbase E-class and the introduction of new models in their electric vehicle portfolio, as stated by Iyer.
Additionally, the electric vehicle segment of Mercedes-Benz India’s overall car lineup surpassed 6 percent last year, indicating a remarkable 94 percent year-on-year growth in market penetration.
In 2024, the automaker launched its innovative 'AMG C 63 S E PERFORMANCE', featuring F1 hybrid technology, priced at Rs 1.95 crore. This model is designed to boost sales of its luxury vehicles, which start at over Rs 1.5 crore.
The surge in luxury car sales also highlights the increasing income levels of the upper middle class, with the Indian economy evolving into the fastest-growing economy globally. This trend is further reflected in the rising number of income tax filers in the segment earning above Rs 1 crore.
