Surat, June 29 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, addressed a gathering of industrialists in Surat, Gujarat, offering a heartfelt homage to Gujarat’s rich historical and economic heritage while presenting Madhya Pradesh’s ambitious strategies for industrial growth, agricultural development, and wildlife conservation.

In a speech filled with cultural pride and economic foresight, the Chief Minister disclosed plans for Madhya Pradesh to launch a dedicated investment facilitation office in Ahmedabad, aimed at enhancing collaboration with Gujarat’s business sector.

“Surat has a legacy of resurgence. Without Gujarat, there is no ‘uddhar’ (upliftment),” he remarked, emphasizing that the entrepreneurial spirit of Gujarat, grounded in Sanatan values, serves as a model for wealth generation and resilience.

He paid tribute to the heritage of Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, acknowledging Gujarat’s crucial contribution to India’s independence and unity.

“Thanks to Sardar Patel, we established a nation. The world has witnessed it,” he reiterated, highlighting that India’s emergence among the top five global economies reflects such foundational leadership.

Gujarat shines as a brilliant gem, not only in India’s crown but globally, esteemed for its cultural richness, economic dynamism, and lasting heritage, he stated.

Yadav also pointed out the transformation of India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance, mentioning the enhancement of air connectivity.

Using the increase in flights from 18 to 98 in Banaras, Uttar Pradesh, as an illustration of economic progress, he commended the infrastructural advancements.

“Wherever a Gujarati goes, he flourishes with limited resources and creates his own identity,” he noted.

Focusing on Madhya Pradesh’s development agenda, the Chief Minister declared that direct benefit transfers (DBT) would be available for entrepreneurs across all sectors, including MSMEs and heavy industries.

“We have fulfilled our promise of Viability Gap Funding (VGF), and we will persist in delivering, punctually and fully,” he assured.

He stressed that Madhya Pradesh is progressing across all industrial tiers—from micro enterprises to extensive manufacturing—with 23 crucial sectors earmarked for concentrated development. The state’s agriculture sector has seen an impressive 39 percent growth rate, propelled by irrigation expansion, procurement reforms, and diversification into horticulture and associated activities.

He also highlighted the state’s ecological successes, mentioning that cheetahs, once extinct in India, now inhabit two areas in Madhya Pradesh: Kuno National Park in Sheopur and Gandhisagar Sanctuary in Mandsaur and Neemuch districts.

“This represents the new face of Madhya Pradesh,” he stated, emphasizing the state’s commitment to balancing development and conservation.

The Chief Minister's comments were part of a broader outreach to Gujarat's industrial base, aiming to draw investments into Madhya Pradesh’s developing sectors such as textiles, renewable energy, petrochemicals, and logistics.

The event also functioned as a cultural bridge, celebrating shared values and economic aspirations between the two states.

Raghvendra Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary of the Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, stated that Madhya Pradesh is positioning itself as a premier investment hub with a robust industrial infrastructure and investor-friendly policies.

He emphasized the state’s 10,000-acre land bank and efficient allotment process, branding Madhya Pradesh as “your second home” for industrial advancement. Currently, the state hosts 340 industrial parks, with land allotment procedures so efficient that one could apply in the morning and receive the allotment letter by the evening, Singh noted.

The government’s digital Invest Portal has played a crucial role in streamlining the process, enabling investors to search, apply, and monitor land allotments online.

Singh highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s sectoral advantages, including a dependable water supply of 1,000 million cubic meters, a well-connected gas pipeline network, and an evolving petrochemical landscape.

The state is also heavily investing in logistics infrastructure and skill enhancement to support industrial growth.

Under the Cabinet Committee on Investment Promotion (CCIP), customized facilities are being provided to projects with investments ranging from Rs 75 crore to Rs 500 crore.

The Babai-Mohasa region in Narmadapuram district has already seen 600 acres allocated for renewable energy equipment manufacturing, with another 650 acres reserved for expansion.

Singh also pointed out that Madhya Pradesh has achieved zero mandays lost due to industrial unrest, underscoring the state’s stable labor climate. This, combined with its proactive governance and sector-specific incentives, renders it an attractive option for both domestic and international investors.
