Neemuch, Nov 13 (NationPress) In a significant boost for soybean cultivation, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav transferred Rs 233 crores directly into the bank accounts of approximately 1.33 lakh soybean farmers across the state under the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana. This initiative has left the entire farming community, stretching from Dewas to Neemuch, filled with joy and gratitude.
The ceremony, held in Dewas, showcased the Mohan Yadav administration's commitment to uphold its promise of providing state support to soybean farmers, particularly to cushion the adverse effects of inadequate market prices. The happiness was evident on the faces of the farmers present.
Among the total funds allocated, Rs 1.25 crore was specifically disbursed to 1,012 farmers in Neemuch district under the Bhavantar Yojana.
The event was attended by notable figures including Neemuch MLA Dilip Singh Parihar, District Panchayat Chairman Sajjan Singh Chauhan, ADM Kalesh, SDM and Mandi Administrator (In-Charge) Sanjeev Sahu, and Mandi Secretary (In-Charge) Sameer Das, along with many public representatives, traders, and farmers.
All public representatives commended the government's initiatives aimed at supporting soybean farmers, emphasizing that such efforts will significantly enhance the state's status as a 'soya bowl.'
Neemuch MLA Dilip Singh Parihar acknowledged the difficulties faced by farmers due to excessive rainfall that flooded fields, particularly in the Malwa and Neemuch regions, causing widespread concern.
“We applaud the Chief Minister’s initiative to alleviate farmers' hardships through the Bhavantar Yojana. My gratitude goes to CM Mohan Yadav and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this support,” he remarked.
In an update, Neemuch SDM and Agricultural Produce Market Administrator Sanjeev Sahu informed the media, “Soybean procurement has been active since October 24th. The model price set for the last 15 days was around 4,000 rupees, while the MSP rate was 5,328 rupees. Consequently, a difference of about Rs 1300 has been credited to the accounts of farmers in Neemuch district.”
One beneficiary, farmer Bhavani Shankar Patidar, expressed his gratitude, stating, “The price difference for 11 quintals and 55 kilograms of soybean credited to my account amounted to Rs 15,000. I am thankful to the Chief Minister; without this scheme, our situation would have been dire.”
