New Delhi, Nov 15 (NationPress) The NICDC Logistics Data Services Limited (NLDSL) and the Andhra Pradesh Government formalized their partnership on Saturday by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at transforming the state's logistics framework through the Unified Logistics Interface Platform. This collaboration seeks to create a powerful integrated digital platform that provides real-time insights into the logistics operations and performance metrics of the state.
The initiative is designed to improve coordination, boost efficiency, and facilitate informed decision-making among stakeholders, allowing them to access real-time information effortlessly, as stated in the announcement.
The Andhra Pradesh government will work alongside NLDSL, via the Infrastructure Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Ltd. (INCAP), to establish an integrated logistics dashboard that will monitor logistics-related key performance indicators (KPIs) across different state departments, according to the Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
This MoU was signed during the 30th CII Partnership Summit held in Visakhapatnam.
The analytical insights and actionable reports produced by this dashboard will be pivotal in fortifying and modernizing the state's logistics ecosystem by utilizing the capabilities of ULIP.
ULIP serves as a digital portal that allows industry players to access logistics-related data sets from various government systems through API-based integration.
The Commerce ministry noted that this collaboration marks a significant milestone in merging advanced technological solutions with logistics development, thereby enhancing India’s stature as a global frontrunner in efficient, modern, and resilient supply chain infrastructure.
This partnership signifies a crucial advance towards establishing world-class logistics infrastructure that aligns with the National Logistics Policy (NLP).
With ULIP integrating 44 systems across 11 ministries through 136 APIs, it encompasses over 2,000 data fields. More than 210 applications have been created by companies using ULIP, leading to over 200 crore API transactions.
In addition to aiding private-sector uptake, ULIP supports data-driven governance by providing synthesized logistics insights to various ministries and departments, including Coal, Food Corporation of India (FCI), and several state governments.
