New Delhi, Oct 25 (NationPress) Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal is poised to address the expanding deeptech ecosystem in India next week, as announced on Saturday.
The Union Budget 2025-26 has allocated a significant sum towards the enhancement of deeptech and AI-enabled platforms through the Rs 10,000-crore Fund of Funds scheme, aiming to unlock new opportunities in the startup and innovation landscape, particularly in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The entrepreneurship organization The IndUS Entrepreneurs (TiE) Delhi-NCR is set to host ‘India's largest deeptech conference’ in the national capital on October 29.
This two-day event will bring together chief experience officers (CXOs), policymakers, investors, scientists, and innovators to propel India's transformative decade in AI, quantum computing, semiconductors, space, defence, biotech, and life sciences.
Goyal will deliver the keynote address, with key speakers from various sectors including e-commerce, energy, defence, technology, and finance.
The agenda will cover advanced technologies, with discussions titled “Powering India’s Strategic Decade” and “How India Can Win the Global AI Race”.
Senior officials from DPIIT, MeitY, India AI Mission, and Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) will also participate. The event will showcase the Lab2Scale initiative, featuring 10–12 research projects presented in five-minute pitches.
According to Geetika Dayal, Director General of TiE Delhi-NCR, “India's deeptech ecosystem has reached an inflection point where research excellence meets market opportunity.” She emphasized that the event will include mentoring roundtables and opportunities for high-impact interactions between innovative minds and bold capital.
The 'TiEcon Delhi-NCR 2025' will emphasize critical technologies for national sovereignty, creation of national intellectual property, and the beneficial cycle of talent, capital, and markets, aligning with national initiatives like IndiaAI and the deeptech push spearheaded by ANRF.
