New Delhi, Oct 31 (NationPress) Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal spearheaded discussions at The IndUS Entrepreneurs (TiE) conference held in Bengaluru on Friday, emphasizing the critical need to promote innovation and enhance research and development capabilities within India's deep tech sector.
The minister expressed his satisfaction in connecting with DeepTech and semiconductor startups present at the conference.
Taking to the social media platform X, he remarked, "Thrilled to engage with DeepTech and semiconductor startups, alongside V Mohandas Pai, Chairman of Aarin Capital."
He further stated, "Our discussions centered on advancing innovation, boosting R&D capabilities, and uncovering new opportunities to fortify India's DeepTech and semiconductor landscape."
This interaction in Bengaluru follows his remarks at India's largest DeepTech conference in Delhi, where he underscored government support for innovation across various domains including artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and machine learning.
Goyal highlighted that DeepTech holds significant appeal for India's youth and praised the growing investment and efforts within the sector.

The Union Budget for 2025-26 allocated a substantial amount towards the development of DeepTech and AI-enabled platforms through the Rs 10,000-crore Fund of Funds initiative, aiming to create new opportunities in the startup and innovation ecosystem, including Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The TiE Delhi-NCR organization had previously hosted 'India’s largest deeptech conference' in the capital on October 29, gathering chief experience officers (CXOs), policymakers, investors, scientists, and innovators to stimulate India’s transformative decade in areas like AI, quantum computing, semiconductors, space, defense, biotech, and life sciences.
