Mumbai, Aug 4 (NationPress) The auto components manufacturer Sona BLW Precision Forgings Limited, commonly referred to as Sona Comstar, announced on Monday a 12.2% year-on-year (YoY) decrease in its consolidated net profit, reporting Rs 124.7 crore for the first quarter of the financial year 2026 (Q1 FY26), down from Rs 142 crore in the same quarter last year (Q1 FY25).
The company's total operational revenue experienced a 4.2% YoY decline, falling to Rs 854 crore from Rs 893 crore, as detailed in its stock exchange announcement.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) were reported at Rs 206 crore, representing a 17.4% drop from Rs 251 crore the previous year, with margins decreasing to 24.1% from 28.1% during the same quarter last year.
Despite this quarterly earnings downturn, shares of Sona Comstar saw a slight increase, closing 1.25% higher at Rs 443 each on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
