Chennai, April 22 (NationPress) Oscar winner A R Rahman, who frequently commutes between cities for his work, has recently shared his effective strategies for navigating traffic in Mumbai.

In a conversation with a media outlet, the renowned music composer was asked if he ever finds himself frustrated in traffic. With a grin, Rahman replied, "I never travel during the day."

When the interviewer sought to confirm whether Rahman preferred night work, the composer nodded, stating, "Yes, because at night, there is no traffic. I can go anywhere. My creativity operates best at night."

He further mentioned that sometimes, in the early hours, he visits the Durgah and returns home to sleep before the traffic resumes.

"This has been my routine since the time of Taal. I've been following this pattern since then," Rahman shared.

Asked about his waking hours, he said, "I wake up at... Nowadays, I am sleeping at night. Generally, I rise at 2:30 and sleep at 7:00."

The acclaimed composer is currently engaged in multiple projects, including director Mani Ratnam's grand film 'Thug Life', starring actor Kamal Haasan in the lead role.

At the recent launch of the film's first single, Rahman revealed that he has been composing for the film for the past four months and is still in the process.

"Every day, I work on new segments, sending them to Mani sir for feedback, asking, 'Is this good or not?'" Rahman expressed, adding, "This is Kamal sir's movie. He has contributed immensely. Each scene I score feels like it’s looking at me, asking, 'What are you going to create?'"
