Aamir Khan and Nana Patekar Record a Podcast: Are We Approaching Podcast Overload?

Mumbai, Dec 21 (NationPress) Podcasts have emerged as a significant trend this season, with Bollywood legends Aamir Khan and Nana Patekar spotted in the Juhu area of Mumbai while filming a podcast.

The upcoming podcast will delve into the recently launched movie ‘Vanvaas’, featuring Nana Patekar and Utkarsh Sharma. This film tackles themes of family, honor, and self-acceptance through a modern lens. Directed by Anil Sharma, ‘Vanvaas’ also stars Simratt Kaur in a significant role.

Despite the excitement surrounding this format, the streaming landscape appears to be becoming saturated with podcast content, raising questions about whether this medium might soon lose its appeal. When Joe Rogan launched ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, it introduced a novel concept that transformed traditional radio by integrating visual elements suitable for YouTube. Rogan's podcast skyrocketed to fame, featuring prominent personalities from various fields.

In India, the podcasting culture began to take off between 2018 and 2019, gaining further momentum during the pandemic, thanks to early adopters like Ranveer Allahbadia. It eventually became mainstream, attracting additional creators like Raj Shamani.

Currently, it seems that every content creator is capitalizing on the success of podcasts.

Aside from their podcast work, Aamir is reportedly planning a getaway with Nana Patekar at his farm. ‘Vanvaas’ hit theaters on December 20 and is receiving positive feedback from audiences, with fans eagerly attending screenings for its unique narrative. Viewers are lauding the film's direction, engaging storyline, and outstanding performances by the cast.

The film is produced by Zee Studios.
