Mumbai, February 26 (NationPress) Renowned Bollywood actor Aamir Khan revealed that Alvira Khan Agnihotri, sister of Salman Khan, has been consistently providing him with updates regarding the health of the esteemed lyricist and screenwriter Salim Khan, indicating that he is showing positive progress.
The star, who visited Salim Khan after his admission to the ICU, expressed that the family is optimistic and is praying for his swift recovery and return home.
Aamir stated to the press, “I went to see Mr. Salim. We are all hoping for his prompt recovery because he was in ICU. I couldn’t meet him personally, but I was there for his family.”
“Alvira informs me daily that his condition is improving. We are all wishing for him to return home soon and regain his health,” he added.
On February 17, Salim Khan was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai and subsequently moved to the ICU.
His attending physician, Dr. Jalil Parkar, released a statement regarding the health of the veteran screenwriter.
He confirmed, “Yes, it’s accurate that Salim Khan (father of Salman Khan) and a celebrated figure in the industry has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital under my care in the ICU at 8:30 am. He was brought in by their family physician, Dr. Sandeep Chopra.”
“Emergency treatment was initiated, and Mr. Salim Khan was transferred to the intensive care unit on the first floor. A team of specialists including Dr. Vinay Chavan (neurologist), Dr. Ajit Menon (cardiologist), Dr. Nitin Dange (neurosurgeon), and Dr. Bineet Ahluwalia have been attending to him. Out of respect for the family’s wishes, further information is not being disclosed at this time,” he added.
“However, tomorrow at 11:00 am, we will conduct a press briefing with the consent of the family while maintaining utmost confidentiality regarding the patient. Please bear with us; he is stable but requires close observation concerning his clinical status,” he concluded.
