Mumbai, March 21 (NationPress) Renowned screenwriter Salim Khan marked his return to the public eye following his discharge from the hospital. Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was seen alongside his father Salim and the entire Khan family as they celebrated Eid, waving to fans from their Galaxy apartment balcony.
Accompanying Salman were his mother, Salma Khan, along with his brothers Sohail and Arbaaz Khan, and sisters Alvira Khan Agnihotri and Arpita Khan, all joining in to wish fans a heartfelt "Eid Mubarak".
In a video shared by the actor from his Instagram account, he was seen bringing his father out in a wheelchair. The father-son pair was later spotted joyfully waving at the crowd gathered outside their home.
Salman donned a casual brown shirt with blue jeans and was also seen blowing kisses to his supporters, along with offering a traditional salam and namaste.
He captioned the post, "Eid Mubarak, Thank you very much for your blessings, Dad is back home; thank you," (sic).
For those unaware, Salim Khan was recently released from Mumbai’s Lilavati hospital after a month-long stay. Medical professionals had reported that he experienced a minor hemorrhage, which did not necessitate surgical intervention, and a Digital Subtraction Angiography was conducted on the esteemed screenwriter.
Salim Khan gained prominence as part of the iconic Salim–Javed writing partnership, alongside Javed Akhtar. They are credited with scripting numerous Bollywood classics, including "Sholay", "Deewaar", "Zanjeer", and "Don" among others.
As for Salman, he is currently engaged in his upcoming war drama, "Maatrubhumi", formerly titled "Battle of Galwan". Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film stars Chitrangada Singh as the lead actress.
"Maatrubhumi" is set to hit theaters on April 17.
