Adah Sharma Unveils Title of Her Upcoming Superhero Film ‘Super Velli’
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, March 13 (NationPress) Actress Adah Sharma is gearing up to portray a superhero in her forthcoming film, which has been titled ‘Super Velli’.
Directed by Rajesh Bachchani, the movie features Adah as a chaotic yet lethargic superhero whose mission is to bring havoc to the world using her unique powers.
On discussing the film, Adah stated, "Recently, I shared a video on social media declaring, 'I'm Velli,' which led news outlets to report that I was jobless. I received messages advising me to clarify the situation. However, I pondered, 'What would Velli do?' She would likely be too lazy to rectify it. So, in keeping with the essence of Velli, here’s ‘Super Velli’. With great power comes great responsibility."
Rajesh Bachchani remarked, “I fondly remember Adah's amusing character Bhavna Reddy from the ‘Commando’ series. Her raw talent combined with a witty and quirky persona made it clear that she was perfect for the role of ‘Super Velli’. After three years of script development, we are excited to present something exciting and fresh to our audiences.”
Following the significant attention garnered by ‘The Kerala Story’, Adah is diving into an entirely new realm filled with madness and satire, featuring a hero who defies traditional expectations.
The teaser hints at a character who prefers napping over heroics, yet inadvertently finds herself caught in utter chaos. Instead of the conventional polished, cape-donning savior, this superhero appears whimsically unpredictable, alternating between clumsiness and unexpected brilliance.
Previously, Adah, who received acclaim for her performance in ‘The Kerala Story’, discussed her absence from the sequel.
She expressed, "I enjoy discussing films I am involved in. When I'm not part of a project, I believe discussing it solely for media attention isn't appropriate. Whether or not I was offered a role in the sequel is a matter for the creators and the actor, not something meant for public discussion."
She further added, "The first film delved into ISIS camps in Afghanistan, showcasing the journey of an innocent girl turning into a terrorist. Part 2, however, tells an entirely different story."
