Adarsh Gourav: Discovering India's Hidden Cultural Gems
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, March 9 (NationPress) Actor Adarsh Gourav, who recently appeared in ‘Tu Yaa Main’, has shared his passion for travel and the joy of discovering less-traveled paths.
The actor is currently in the process of filming a docu-series tentatively titled ‘The Tribal Voice’. This series takes Adarsh throughout Northeast India, where he immerses himself in the region's vibrant cultural traditions and authentic indigenous perspectives. The initial phase of the shooting began on Majuli Island in Assam, located in Northeast India.
Reflecting on the series, Adarsh Gourav stated, “The primary reason I agreed to participate in this project was the chance to delve into the cultures of the Northeast in a manner that felt both intimate and immersive. This unique series allows me to connect deeply with local communities, savor their cuisines, listen to their narratives, and learn about the histories of their tribes through personal conversations. For me, this experience is truly priceless. Collaborating with Edstead was another key aspect; they are recognized for promoting stories of significance, and knowing they support this project gave me confidence.”
“I have a sincere desire to learn about the people from my own country, of whom I admittedly know very little. Although I enjoy traveling and exploring hidden gems, I wouldn’t have been able to access some of these communities without this series. Showcasing these experiences on a platform with such extensive reach also transforms it into a powerful educational resource,” he added.
Through music, oral traditions, and everyday practices, the series tackles themes of heritage, resilience, and identity, celebrating a creative spirit that is both ancient and thriving.
Produced and developed as a cinematic factual narrative by Charu Budhiraja from Edstead, ‘The Tribal Voice’ is sponsored by Air India Express, with Dentsu Sports and Entertainment acting as the integration partner. The series is presently in production.
