Is Aditya Roy Kapur Right About Modern Relationships?

New Delhi, June 14 (NationPress) Actor Aditya Roy Kapur recently expressed that even though we are constantly communicating, modern relationships often lack depth. He emphasized the necessity of continuously reflecting on our connections to determine if staying in touch truly indicates being “emotionally connected.”

In a discussion about his film “Metro… In Dino,” which interweaves various narratives of contemporary love and disconnection, Aditya stated: “These stories encompass both disconnection and connection—not solely disconnection. Indeed, in today's world, we are more connected than ever.”

The actor pointed out that being connected and engaging in meaningful communication are “two different things.”

“You can connect with someone instantly, but I’m not sure that has necessarily resulted in more fulfilling relationships. That's a question we need to keep asking ourselves. Sometimes, you might be in constant touch with someone, but if the conversations lack meaning, then what value do they hold?”

Aditya illustrated this with an example, sharing that he knows what his friends are up to all the time. “...At times, you feel connected to your friends because you exchange memes constantly, or you’re hyper-connected, but I question whether those are quality conversations. I don’t believe they can substitute for deeper interactions,” said Aditya, who stars alongside actress Sara Ali Khan.

“Thus, it’s vital to continuously reflect on the relationships in your life and comprehend whether mere communication signifies real connection.”

Discussing his film character, he mentioned: “It was intriguing to portray a person without concrete aspirations about life. He enjoys living in the moment and is a talented, go-with-the-flow individual who has plenty to say, making the role enjoyable. His character experiences a journey throughout the film—something you'll have to discover when you watch the film.”

“Metro…In Dino” marks the concluding chapter of Anurag Basu's hyperlinked trilogy, delving into intricate and modern relationships, promising a profound exploration of love, heartbreak, and human connections.

The film features an ensemble cast including Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Anupam Kher, and Neena Gupta.
