Mumbai, January 19 (NationPress) Actor Ahan Shetty has reflected on the 'challenging moments' he faced after the release of his debut film Tadap in 2021, as he anticipates the launch of his second Bollywood film, Border 2.
In a recent post sharing images from Border 2 on his social media, Ahan conveyed how the aftermath of his debut's box office disappointment brought about 'phases of doubt, silent hardships, and invaluable life lessons'.
“December 3, 2021… Tadap, my inaugural film. The start of a dream I entered with a mix of hope, anxiety, and everything that lies in between,” Ahan expressed.
“What ensued profoundly tested me… Times of doubt, subdued struggles, and insights only patience and time can impart. Growth seldom occurs without hardship, and each experience has contributed to who I am today,” he elaborated.
The actor further shared his appreciation for the lessons he learned and expressed eagerness for his forthcoming film. “I am thankful for everything. January 23, 2026… Just a few days remain until my second film, Border 2, reaches you. A fresh chapter born from patience, determination, and faith. With a heart full of hopes, unwavering belief, and dreams that are now more robust than ever,” he stated.
He continued, “I hope you’ll join us, share in this journey, and support the film with your heart. It would mean more than I can articulate.”
Previously, Bollywood icon and Ahan Shetty’s father, Suniel Shetty, became emotional at the Border 2 song launch, discussing the tough period Ahan experienced following his debut film's setback. He highlighted the struggle actors face, even those from well-known families, to establish their presence in Bollywood.
From a father’s perspective, Suniel mentioned the brief pause after Ahan’s first film, indicating that the entire family endured a personal crisis.
“After his initial film, there was a brief hiatus. Turmoil often accompanies our lives,” Suniel shared.
Addressing the misconception that star kids have an easy path, he added, “People assume that Suniel Shetty’s son has it easy. However, Ahan has encountered numerous challenges throughout his life.”
Suniel acknowledged that witnessing his son navigate this difficult period was emotionally taxing but also a test of endurance for the entire family.
He expressed deep gratitude towards the creators of Border 2 - Nidhi Dutta and JP Dutta, thankful that Ahan secured a role in such a significant project during a pivotal time in his career.
“I am thrilled he received a film like Border 2, which is truly fitting. I pray he does justice to it and that the film succeeds for everyone involved,” he remarked.
“The only advice I gave him was to pour his heart into whatever he does,” he noted.
Suniel also expressed profound gratitude to Ahan's supporters, stating, “I have always felt indebted to those who stood by Ahan. Nidhi, in particular, is like a daughter to me,” acknowledging the emotional backing the filmmakers provided to his family.
Suniel added, “For Nidhi to cast Ahan in such a major film is monumental. As a father, I feel a deep sense of gratitude. Thank you to everyone for their love and for making this possible for Ahan.”
Border 2, featuring Ahan Shetty alongside Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan, is set to premiere on January 23 of this year.
