Los Angeles, March 1 (NationPress) Hollywood actress Aimee Lou Wood, who is garnering significant acclaim for the recently launched third season of the acclaimed streaming series The White Lotus, has described the experience of filming at a lavish Thai resort as similar to engaging in a social experiment.

The current season is already receiving accolades for Mike White’s latest examination of the often appalling behavior of the exceedingly privileged within an exquisite environment, as reported by Deadline.

Aimee Lou Wood, who gained fame through her role in Netflix's Sex Education, shared with The Guardian that spending seven months at The Four Seasons hotel without a break was not always beneficial for her.

She remarked, “Residing in a hotel where we also shoot? It felt like a social experiment. It’s an experience I will forever remember. I doubt I will ever go through something like that again. It was incredibly intense. The enjoyable moments were absolutely unbelievable and extraordinary. The ocean, the scenery, it was breathtaking. Mike [White, the director] is brilliant. Everyone involved is fantastic, but the conditions were quite extreme.”

She added, “One day, while getting my hair styled, Miia (Kovero, the hair and makeup artist) said, ‘You need to go home. I can’t tell if I’m speaking to Aimee or Chelsea anymore.’ I had completely lost myself. Everyone tends to embody their character to some degree, but I was so absorbed that I didn’t even recognize who I was.”

According to Deadline, Aimee Lou Wood portrays Chelsea, the optimistic yoga instructor girlfriend of her older partner played by Walton Goggins.

The British actress commented on their sharp exchanges, “There’s something unique about Mike’s writing. Every character always seems to be on the precipice.”
