Mumbai, April 16 (NationPress) Actress Aishwarya Khare and Munira Kudrati donned male disguises for a scene in “Bhagya Lakshmi.” Aishwarya shared that it required great patience to securely attach the beard, adjust the turban, and remain in that costume for over 12 hours.

In the upcoming storyline, Lakshmi and Shalu go undercover as men in a bold effort to reveal the truth about Malishka’s child. While Lakshmi masquerades as a Punjabi man, complete with a beard and turban, Shalu sports a wig, beard, mustache, and a fake stomach as she invades Balwinder’s property.

Reflecting on the disguise, Aishwarya commented, “It was madness — but the enjoyable kind! The first time we revealed our full looks to each other, we couldn’t contain our laughter. It required considerable patience to get the beard correctly glued, the turban adjusted perfectly, and to remain in that costume for over 12 hours. However, once we embraced our characters, we were fully committed.”

Aishwarya also mentioned they attempted to imitate male walking and speaking styles.

“The crew had a fantastic time watching us practice our ‘manly’ walks in between takes! As performers, it's always thrilling to step outside your comfort zone and explore something entirely new. This quirky disguise allowed us to delve into a fresh layer of performance,” she stated.

“It was challenging — but that's what added to the fun. Honestly, these types of shoots remind you why you enjoy your craft so much,” she added.

“Bhagya Lakshmi” is brought to you by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms; the series features Aishwarya Khare and Rohit Suchanti.
