Mumbai, Nov 25 (NationPress) The entire country, along with the Bollywood community, is engulfed in sorrow following the passing of legendary actor Dharmendra on November 24.
On the afternoon of November 25, renowned actor Ajay Devgn was spotted at the Deol family's residence in Mumbai, paying his respects.
Upon hearing the heartbreaking news of Dharmendra's departure on November 24, Devgn took to social media to share his condolences. He expressed, “I am deeply saddened to learn about Dharam ji. His warmth, kindness, and influence have inspired countless artists. The industry has lost a true icon… and we’ve lost a figure who profoundly impacted our cinema. Rest in peace, Dharam ji. Om Shanti,” accompanied by a folding hands emoticon.
Later that evening on November 24, Ajay Devgn’s wife, actress Kajol, was among the first from Bollywood to visit the Deol family and extend her sympathies. Earlier that day, Kajol had shared a heartfelt tribute to the late actor, featuring a cherished photo of her son Yug on Dharmendra's lap. She wrote, “The OG of the Good Man has left us, and the world feels emptier… It seems we are losing the truly good souls. Always kind and forever loved. Rest in peace, Dharamji …with love always.”
For those unaware, Kajol starred alongside Dharmendra in the 1998 blockbuster Jab Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya, portraying his niece. The film also featured actors Salman Khan and Arbaaz Khan. Additionally, the two had collaborated in the 1995 movie Taaqat.
Dharmendra was set to celebrate his 90th birthday on December 8 of this year. He passed away at the age of 89 after a brief hospitalization for breathing difficulties, during which he was placed on a ventilator. Following his discharge, he returned home to continue treatment.
