Mumbai, May 15 (NationPress) Bollywood icon Ajay Devgn has shared a lighthearted reason for wanting to educate his son Yug about films at an early age, expressing that he believes his son "won’t pay attention later anyway."
Ajay recently posted an endearing photo on Instagram where he is seen with his son. The snapshot captures a tender moment between the two, standing side by side with bright smiles.
In the caption, he humorously noted: "Teaching him young…baad mein kaha sunega yeh @yug_dvgn It’s finally out!"
The image was taken during the unveiling of the Hindi trailer for ‘Karate Kid: Legends’, featuring the legendary Jackie Chan, which occurred on Wednesday. This event marks the first collaboration between the father-son pair.
While Ajay lends his voice to the character of Mr. Han (originally portrayed by Jackie Chan), Yug makes his debut as the voice of Li Fong (played by Ben Wang). Their genuine relationship adds significant emotional depth to the film’s core theme, emphasizing the bond between a mentor and a mentee.
This also signifies Ajay's inaugural voiceover for an international film in his extensive career.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of New York City, the film follows kung fu whiz Li Fong as he navigates through life in a new school, forms unexpected friendships, and finds himself in a fierce competition with a local karate champion.
Guided by his teacher Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) and the legendary Daniel LaRusso (played by Ralph Macchio), Li embarks on a profound journey of self-discovery, bravery, and personal growth.
Sony Pictures Entertainment India is slated to premiere ‘Karate Kid: Legends’ in Indian cinemas on May 30, 2025, available in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
Ajay’s latest project is “Raid 2”, a crime thriller directed by Raj Kumar Gupta. Set seven years after the original film, it chronicles the adventures of IRS officer Amay Patnaik as he investigates another case of white-collar crime.
Like its predecessor, the sequel is also inspired by the income-tax raid executed by officers of the Income Tax Department who collaborate with intelligence agencies to combat white-collar crimes.
