Mumbai, April 9 (NationPress) Singer and composer Akhil Sachdeva has recently teamed up with Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane for his romantic track 'Tu Chaand Hai'.

When asked about the journey that led to this collaboration with Mawra, Akhil shared with IANS, "It’s a fascinating tale of how I ended up working on this song. The label, Novice Records from Dubai, approached me while I was busy traveling for numerous back-to-back shows. It was a bit different from my usual music style, so I was initially uncertain. However, they were eager to have me and encouraged me to give it a try with my voice before making a decision. They were quite confident in their choice, and after I heard it again, my wife advised me, ‘How could you possibly decline such a beautiful composition?’ Being a melody enthusiast, I found this song to possess an extraordinary melody. My wife urged me to revisit it, and upon hearing it for the second time, I fell deeply in love with it. It required a certain raw, unfiltered expression and a lot of emotional depth, and I feel my voice fit it flawlessly."

Discussing the inclusion of Mawra in the project, he mentioned, "The label aimed to create something unique rather than the standard approach, hence they chose Mawra, who is an exceptional actress and a well-known figure in the Pakistani film industry. We filmed the video in Dubai, just about a week before Eid. It’s now available for everyone, and I’m confident it will receive a warm reception."

Akhil shared his experience working with Mawra, noting the pre-existing comfort level between them. Her brother-in-law, Farhan Saeed, is a close friend of the singer. "Mawra and I had met at a private event in Thailand a few years back, where both Farhan and I performed. We also enjoyed a vacation there. Additionally, the video was filmed during Ramzan, so she was observing her fast, which limited our interaction. We focused entirely on the video, but it was a fun, wonderful, and comforting experience," Akhil remarked.
