Mumbai, Jan 5 (NationPress) Bollywood star Akshay Kumar recently addressed the frequent recommendations he receives from individuals suggesting that he should restrict his film releases to just one or two each year.
During a media interaction at the trailer unveiling of his forthcoming movie “Sky Force,” the actor expressed his views on his strong work ethic and steadfast commitment to his profession.
“This isn’t the first occasion this has occurred. It has taken place previously as well,” Akshay remarked, alluding to the persistent suggestions to reduce his workload. “The most rewarding aspect is to remain dedicated to hard work. Many individuals recommend that I should only do one film annually or a maximum of two, but I always respond, if I can contribute, why not? I have established my entire career upon this principle,” he continued.
The ‘Airlift’ star also disclosed that some have recommended he cease producing content-driven movies; however, he remains steadfast in his determination to pursue such roles. “I don’t wish to stop. I aspire to work on these types of films as well as others. I take great pride in having produced the film Sarfira, despite its lack of success.”
Veer Pahariya is poised to make his Bollywood debut alongside Akshay Kumar in “Sky Force.”
At the trailer launch event, Veer recounted his experience of collaborating with the actor. “A week prior to the shooting, Dinesh sir introduced me to Akshay sir. Akshay sir was incredibly gracious and welcoming, breaking the ice in an instant. From that moment, we became close friends. He took on a brotherly role, guiding me throughout, and we approached scenes in various ways. We possibly did thirty to forty rehearsals and takes, and he was exceptionally kind. I truly enjoyed working alongside him,” Veer expressed.
“Sky Force,” directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapur, also features Sara Ali Khan as the leading lady. The film is scheduled for release in theaters on January 24.
