Mumbai, Oct 7 (NationPress) At the recent FICCI Frames 2025 event, Akshay Kumar humorously addressed his critics who teased him for asking Prime Minister Narendra Modi about his mango-eating habits. In 2019, the ‘Airlift’ star made headlines when he posed a similar question to the Prime Minister, which quickly went viral and resulted in numerous memes and jokes online. Recently, he revisited this lighthearted moment by asking Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis about his preferences for oranges.
In Hindi, Akshay stated, “25 years of FICCI… We are accompanied by our chief minister. Today, I have the chance… this is only the second time in my life that I am conducting an interview. The first was with the Prime Minister, and now I have the opportunity to interview our Chief Minister.”
The ‘Kesari’ actor continued, “Sir, I had previously asked the Prime Minister how he consumes mangoes, and people ridiculed me, but I won’t change!”
He then inquired about oranges, asking, “You are from Nagpur, which is renowned for its oranges. Do you like oranges?”
Fadnavis responded affirmatively, and Akshay followed up by asking whether he prefers them peeled or as juice. The Chief Minister shared his unique technique: cutting the oranges in half, sprinkling a pinch of salt, and enjoying them like a mango. He humorously remarked, “Only original gangsters know this style of eating an orange.”
The 58-year-old actor chuckled and said, “I have learned something new today, and I will definitely give this a try.”
The 25th edition of FICCI Frames is set to occur from October 7–8, 2025, in Mumbai. This Silver Jubilee celebration will bring together industry leaders and visionaries from India and around the world to commemorate 25 years of influencing the media landscape.
