Actor Akshay Oberoi has spoken warmly about his experience on filmmaker Neeraj Pandey's upcoming untitled project, describing the collaboration as one of the most fulfilling of his career. With dubbing now complete and post-production in its final stages, Oberoi says the project has left him genuinely excited about what audiences will eventually see.

On Working With Neeraj Pandey

Oberoi was candid about what sets Pandey apart as a director. 'Getting the opportunity to work with someone like Neeraj Pandey was unique because he approaches storytelling with such clarity and conviction,' he said. 'As an actor, you always hope to collaborate with filmmakers who challenge you to think differently, and Neeraj sir certainly does that. Every conversation with him offered a new perspective, whether it was about the character, the scene, or the larger story being told.'

The film stars Manoj Bajpayee in the leading role — a pairing that has already generated considerable industry interest given both actors' track records in content-driven cinema.

Oberoi also reflected on what it meant to work alongside the veteran actor. 'Sharing screen space with Manoj Bajpayee was equally enriching. He is an actor I have admired for years, and being part of the same project gave me the chance to observe and learn a great deal,' he said.

This comes amid a broader resurgence of serious, narrative-led Hindi films, a space where Pandey — known for franchises such as Special Ops and films like Baby — has consistently operated. Notably, Bajpayee himself has been on a remarkable creative run in recent years, making this collaboration one of the more anticipated announcements in the pipeline.

Post-Production Update

'We've now completed the dubbing and the final post-production process is nearly over, which makes this a very special moment for me,' Oberoi said. 'Working on this project has been an incredibly fulfilling experience from start to finish. We have all put a lot of effort into this project, and I'm genuinely looking forward to watching the finished product and, eventually, sharing it with the audience. I feel very positive about what we have created together.'

No official release date or title has been announced for the Pandey project as of 9 July 2025.

Beyond the Pandey project, Oberoi is also part of King, the high-profile Shah Rukh Khan-starrer co-written and directed by Siddharth Anand.
