Mumbai, April 15 (NationPress) Model-turned-actress Alankrita Sahai, known for her roles in projects like ‘Band Of Maharajas’, ‘Love Per Square Foot’, and ‘Namaste England’, is once again embracing the feeling of 'homecoming' as she has officially returned to Mumbai.
For those unfamiliar, the actress previously resided in Mumbai but left the city temporarily for “personal reasons.”
“I had departed from Mumbai for a while due to personal circumstances. Tragically, I lost my father, which prompted me to remain in Chandigarh and work from there,” shared Alankrita, who was crowned Miss India in 2014-2015.
She continued, “At that time, prioritizing my family and mental well-being was essential, and I made that choice.”
The 31-year-old actress revealed that she wasn’t “mentally” ready to come back to Mumbai.
“Although I was consistently working, I hadn’t completely healed, and as such, I wasn’t emotionally or mentally prepared to return to Mumbai, where I established everything with my father. Thanks to divine grace and the universe's blessings, I am now prepared to return, which is why I have relocated back,” said Alankrita, whose debut project was a music album with Himesh Reshammiya, launched by Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan.
Calling it a “homecoming,” the actress added, “Besides personal factors, this move will also be beneficial professionally, as it will reduce my travel time, allowing me to focus on more productive tasks. So indeed, this is a homecoming for me, and I am thrilled.”
Regarding “Band Of Maharajas,” the film depicts the journey of three aspiring musicians from a small village in Punjab. Fueled by their passion for music, they embark on a journey into Pakistan, a place where artistic expression often encounters opposition from radical factions.
