Allu Arjun Expresses Gratitude for ‘Surreal’ Praise from Icon Amitabh Bachchan

Mumbai, Dec 9 (NationPress) The renowned Allu Arjun, who is enjoying the triumph of his recent release ‘Pushpa: The Rule’, conveyed that he feels honored by the humility of Amitabh Bachchan, whom he affectionately termed his ‘superhero’.
Arjun shared his appreciation on X, previously known as Twitter, where he praised Amitabh after receiving a heartfelt note regarding his performance.
He stated: “Amitabh ji… you are our superhero… and hearing such words from you feels surreal. I am grateful for your kind remarks, generous compliments, and heartfelt wishes… I am truly humbled by your humility.”
The legendary Big B also expressed his thoughts in a note directed at the star.
“#AlluArjun ji… I am sincerely humbled by your gracious words… you give me more than I deserve… we are all enormous fans of your talent and work… may you keep inspiring us all… my prayers and best wishes for your ongoing success,” he penned.
According to variety.com, “Pushpa 2: The Rule” achieved an impressive $92.5 million in its four-day opening weekend, as per Comscore data. This remarkable figure places it as the third-highest grossing film globally, following “Moana 2” and “Wicked.”
“Pushpa: The Rule” serves as a sequel to Sukumar's 2021 blockbuster “Pushpa: The Rise,” which grossed around $46 million. In this film, Allu Arjun reprises his role as Pushpa Raj, a red sandalwood smuggler who, after humiliating Superintendent of Police Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, rises to greater power within the criminal underworld.
The film debuted on December 5, recording a worldwide opening day gross of $34.6 million, surpassing the Indian opening day record of $26 million, previously held by S.S. Rajamouli’s “RRR.” reports variety.com.
“Pushpa 2” now ranks as the third-highest Indian grosser of 2024, following Prabhas's “Kalki 2898 AD” and “Stree 2” featuring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. If it sustains its current pace, “Pushpa 2” could soon become the highest Indian grosser of the year.
