Mumbai, January 14 (NationPress) - Actress Ameesha Patel marks an impressive milestone today as she celebrates 26 years in the Bollywood industry. Her business partner and rumored boyfriend, Kunal Goomer, took to social media to extend his heartfelt congratulations on this significant achievement.

Kunal shared a poster from Ameesha’s debut film, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, and expressed admiration for her accomplishments, noting that he has never encountered a woman in the industry who has achieved so much independently, without the backing of a godfather.

“Congratulations to a star, a friend, and family to us on completing 26 years today. All I can say is, I haven’t met anyone who has achieved so much, especially being a girl in this industry without any surname or hero husband or boyfriend. There’s still more to come, my friend @ameeshapatel9,” Kunal wrote.

Ameesha, upon resharing his post, replied, “Thank you, my sweetest diamond @kuunalgoomer!! I couldn't have done it without you and @shammi being rock solid by my side. Thank you for always having my back.”

For those unfamiliar, Ameesha made her Bollywood debut with Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, released on January 14, 2000. Directed by Rakesh Roshan, the film also launched superstar Hrithik Roshan into the limelight.

The film became one of the greatest blockbusters in Hindi cinema history. Hrithik’s dual role and compelling screen presence catapulted him to stardom, while Ameesha’s performance garnered significant attention.

Alongside Hrithik and Ameesha, the film featured notable actors such as Anupam Kher, Dalip Tahil, Mohnish Bahl, Satish Shah, and Farida Jalal in crucial roles. Made on a modest budget, it shattered box-office records and became an all-time favorite.

The film's plot follows Rohit, an aspiring singer who falls in love with Sonia, only to meet a tragic end under mysterious circumstances. The story takes a twist when Sonia encounters Raj in Australia, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Rohit, leading her to uncover the truth about his death.

The soundtrack, composed by Rajesh Roshan, features iconic hits like Ek Pal Ka Jeena, Na Tum Jaano Na Hum, Chand Sitare, and Pyaar Ki Kashti Mein, all of which remain popular even after 26 years since the movie's release.
