Mumbai, Jan 16 (NationPress) Renowned actor Amitabh Bachchan shared his insights on the ongoing journey of learning, the influence of time, and the swiftly evolving work environment. He expressed that while each day offers valuable lessons, the current speed of innovation makes it challenging to stay abreast as one ages.

In a recent blog post, Big B conveyed a frequent feeling of disappointment that certain skills or knowledge could not be acquired earlier.

“Every day is a lesson .. and the disappointment lies in the fact that what should have been learned was not learned long ago .. the sorrow is amplified because the knowledge being acquired today didn’t exist back then .. and now the willingness and energy to learn seem to wane - with time and age ..”

The iconic star noted that advancements and new systems are developing so rapidly that by the time one starts to grasp them, the moment has already passed.

“The pace of innovations and new methodologies is so swift that, by the time you start understanding it, time has already moved on (sic).”

Reflecting on recent discussions, he highlighted that the essential step is to establish foundational knowledge and subsequently engage the most talented and skilled individuals to drive the work forward.

He stated: “The takeaway from several meetings is to solidify the basics and then recruit the finest talents and experts to execute the task .. and the job is accomplished (sic).”

“If you lack the awareness or qualification to execute a specific task .. that’s fine .. you acknowledge it .. then hire experts to complete it .. the task is accepted, outsourced, and done .. rather than shying away from a task because you are not proficient in it, accept it and accomplish it through a hiring process .. yes, you employ or deploy talent, at a cost, but it’s preferable to do so than to decline the task outright due to lack of qualification ..”

Acknowledging the complexity of this process, Bachchan remarked that understanding comes with time. He concluded by pinpointing the term for this method, outsourcing, where specialists manage the work for a fee, while one retains oversight of the overarching project.

“This is a bit intricate .. but over time it all aligns .. aahh .. I finally found the correct expression and word I was looking for .. it’s called OUTSOURCING .. or you OUTSOURCE .. the experts or knowledgeable ones handle the task for a fee .. you retain control over the project, but outsourced to the more skilled parties .. the majority of the earnings stay with you ..”

“The expense of outsourcing is a commercial consideration you must account for ..(sic)”

“YES .. I’ve finally grasped it .. in my day .. if you didn’t know how to do the job, you regretted and were unable to perform it .. but now, you take the job, and get it done through OUTSOURCING (sic).”

Expressing relief at finally discovering the appropriate term, the legendary actor remarked that modern tools like ChatGPT facilitate finding answers more efficiently than ever before.

He concluded: “Oh boy, what a relief to finally have the term correct .. and guess what .. I put up the issue on ChatGPT, and within moments the response was in front of me .. BAADUMBAAA !!!! (sic).”
