New Delhi, Oct 17 (NationPress) Punjabi sensation Ammy Virk is radiating joy as his film “Godday Godday Chaa 2” approaches its Diwali debut. The actor joyfully remarked that every uplifting moment in his life has been a “Godday Godday Chaa” experience.

Explaining the essence of this phrase, Ammy shared: “Godday Godday Chaa signifies immense happiness. It represents joy that reaches beyond just the feet, all the way to the knees — illustrating that you’re flooded with elation. It’s about feeling overwhelmingly ecstatic.”

Reflecting on his journey, he stated: “For me, each moment in life embodies Godday Godday Chaa. The years that have passed filled with positivity — that’s what Godday Godday Chaa signifies for me.”

Under the direction of Vijay Kumar Arora, the film narrates the tale of a spirited Punjabi village where women embrace traditional wedding customs, igniting a humorous clash of intellect as both parties strive to outdo each other with increasingly inventive schemes. The cast also includes Gurpreet Bhangu and Gitaj Bindrakhia.

Reflecting on the original installment, “Godday Godday Chaa” was unveiled in 2023. This Punjabi family comedy-drama, set in the 1980s and 1990s, features Sonam Bajwa, Tania, Gitaj Bindrakhia, and Gurjazz. The film earned the award for Best Punjabi Feature Film at the 71st National Film Awards.

In the early 1980s and 1990s, it was a distant dream for Punjab's women to participate in weddings. The narrative focuses on Rani, the film’s main character, who is determined to take the women from her ‘pind’ to a baraat. To achieve her goal, she collaborates with other village women and undertakes bold actions.

Ammy is renowned for his roles in the Nikka Zaildar series, Qismat and Qismat 2, Harjeeta, and Haakam in Angrej.
