Mumbai, May 26 (NationPress) Producer Anand Pandit has expressed high regard for Gujarati actor Yash Soni. The pair are teaming up for the forthcoming Gujarati film ‘Chaniya Toli’.
This film represents their fourth partnership following 'Tron Ekka', 'Fakt Mahilao Maate', and 'Fakt Purusho Maate'.
In discussing why Yash Soni has become his preferred lead in his Gujarati films, Anand Pandit remarked, "Yash is a remarkably talented actor. Whether it's comedy or drama, he brings an undeniable authenticity to his roles on screen. His screen presence and emotional depth resonate perfectly with the type of relatable and profoundly moving cinema I aspire to create."
Since the establishment of Anand Pandit Motion Pictures in 2015, the production house has not only expanded to have a nationwide influence but has also cultivated rich, collaborative relationships across the industry.
The cast also includes Netri Trivedi, Heena Varde, Chetan Daiya, and Maulik Nayak.
Regarding 'Chaniya Toli', the producer stated, "This narrative revolves around an ordinary man who discovers his purpose when he helps a village escape poverty through an ingenious scheme. It features sharp social commentary, well-developed characters, and of course, Yash has excelled once again in a crucial role. We are excited to deliver a distinctive offering and highlight Gujarati cinema for a broader Indian audience."
Produced by Anand Pandit & Vaishal Shah, the film is helmed by Jay Bodas and Parth Trivedi, with a release expected by Diwali 2025.
Last month, Anand Pandit shared insights for the industry to help it realign its direction.
The producer discussed how the industry can collaborate and work towards stabilizing revenue streams. The global economy is currently facing challenges, and all sectors, including Bollywood, are preparing for the repercussions, particularly in light of the new disruptive tariffs introduced by POTUS Donald Trump.
The inconsistency in box office returns has sparked doubts about whether the industry can regain lost momentum. Commenting on the Hindi film sector, Anand Pandit expressed confidence in its resilience, noting that it has navigated uncertain times successfully in the past.
He stated, “We can certainly rectify and address the issues that are apparent to us at this moment. There is an extraordinary increase in production costs, and we must curtail unnecessary spending. Beyond unrealistic star fees and entourage costs, we must also focus on budgeting our productions effectively to achieve quality through innovation rather than lavish practices.”
