Angelina Jolie: Parenthood is My Greatest Joy

Los Angeles, Dec 1 (NationPress) For Hollywood star Angelina Jolie, parenthood is everything. The actress, renowned for her role as opera legend Maria Callas in the biopic 'Maria', disclosed that she would never give in to loneliness like the soprano did, thanks to her children.

Angelina, who shares her life with Maddox (23), Pax (21), Zahara (19), Shiloh (18), and twins Knox and Vivienne (16) from her previous marriage to Brad Pitt, told 'The Sunday Times', 'I don't feel that because I have family.'

She expressed, 'Maria didn't have a family, so her work was everything. My work is not everything. Being a parent is everything,' as noted by 'Female First UK'.

The actress remarked that she is 'grateful this film gave me a time to stop and learn and listen and appreciate' the significance of family, especially amid her ongoing legal disputes with Brad Pitt concerning the ownership of their vineyard in France.

According to 'Female First UK', Callas was often labeled a diva during her opera career, but Angelina aims to redefine that term as she relates to her character's 'commitment to her work.'

The star of 'Salt' shared, 'I'm a hard worker. And a deeply feeling person. Maria is vulnerable because she feels and isn't sometimes able to protect herself from the loneliness or emotional pain.' She added, 'Because it's part of her life and work to be extremely human and live that way. You live through your communication with the audience. For Maria and for me, that has always been extremely important.'

Angelina believes that as she ages, she has been offered more fulfilling roles, but she feels that actors have an advantage over singers and dancers regarding aging since 'the body doesn't change.'

She concluded, 'I've got better work as I've got older. I don't think about in terms of roles offered but in terms of life experience you contribute.'
