New Delhi, Oct 28 (NationPress) Producer Anshul Garg, whose debut film production “Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat” has become a box-office sensation, claims that his distinctive moustache represents more than just a fashion choice; it is a proud emblem of his Rajasthani heritage.
Anshul, known for backing hits like “Dheeme Dheeme”, “Goa Beach”, “Mud Mud Ke”, “Aidan Na Nach”, and “Coffee”, sports a majestic handlebar moustache, meticulously styled and beautifully curled at the tips.
In a conversation with IANS, Anshul remarked, “I was born in Dholpur. My roots are in Rajasthan. During my childhood, I observed many people with thick and prominent moustaches. However, as we progress, we seem to be losing sight of our culture and moving toward modernity, adopting Western influences.”
The producer emphasized that he wishes to maintain this moustache as it keeps him connected to Rajasthan.
“I wanted to preserve this moustache as a reminder of my state — Rajasthan. Whenever I travel, people inquire, ‘What’s the story behind this moustache?’ I want to carry my culture with me wherever I go,” he shared.
“I create international music and collaborate with global artists. I want them to recognize this as a Rajasthani moustache… it signifies a part of India,” he concluded.
Before venturing into the music scene, Garg managed a restaurant in Delhi, which he founded in 2015. His journey took a pivotal turn when he met pop singer Tony Kakkar at an event, leading to the creation of the record label Desi Music Factory (DMF). Their inaugural track, Akhiyaan, featured Neha Kakkar, Tony Kakkar, and Bohemia.
“Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat”, Anshul's first production, is a romantic drama helmed by Milap Zaveri. It stars Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa in leading roles, narrating the tale of a powerful politician who falls for a strong-willed superstar, entangling them in a tempestuous romance fraught with obsession, pride, and heartbreak.
