Kher recalled a comment made by an international filmmaker during last year's Cannes Film Festival.
"So you are the MARATHON MAN of Indian Cinema!!" remarked a foreign director at the #CannesFilmFestival when I shared my film count! (sic)," he reminisced.
Reflecting on his arrival in Mumbai back in 1981 with nothing but dreams, Kher expressed on his Instagram, "As I begin my 550th film #KhoslaKaGhosla2, my heart is overflowing with GRATITUDE and THANKFULNESS! When I landed in the city of dreams on June 3, 1981, I never imagined reaching this LANDMARK of 550 films."
Kher emphasized that even after this extensive career, he believes he has only reached his 'interval' and still has many contributions to make.
"Here I am in Delhi ready to shoot for KKG2. Honestly, I feel I have so much more to offer, so much more to achieve! I’ve only reached the ‘interval point’ of my life and career! Dreams have no EXPIRY date!" the veteran actor shared.
Discussing his greatest strengths over the years, he stated, "My Optimism, my Never-Give-Up mentality, and my diligent work ethic have been my greatest assets!"
However, Kher also acknowledged that his long-lasting presence in the industry is due to the support of his directors, producers, and fans.
In expressing his gratitude, he said, "My survival through these years has only been possible because of the backing from my producers, directors, co-stars, technicians, and most importantly, YOU, my AUDIENCES! Without your support, achieving this milestone would not have been feasible! A heartfelt THANK YOU! Jai Ho! Jai Hind! Om Namah Shivay!"
