Actor Arjun Das has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay and veteran filmmaker S A Chandrasekhar for permitting his upcoming film to use the title 'Once More', calling the weight the title carries 'immense'. The film, directed by Vignesh Srikanth and co-starring Aditi Shankar, is set to release on Friday, 29 August.

The Story Behind the Title

The title 'Once More' originally belonged to a 1997 Tamil film of the same name, directed by S A Chandrasekhar — the father of Chief Minister Vijay. That film featured legendary actor Sivaji Ganesan alongside Vijay and Simran in the lead roles. The makers of the new film recently secured permission from the title's owners to use it, a gesture that Arjun Das has publicly acknowledged with considerable warmth.

Hours before the film's theatrical debut, Arjun Das took to his social media timelines to pen a message of thanks. 'Once More, thank you S. A. Chandrasekhar and Vijay Sir for the title. The weight this title carries is immense, and I hope we as a team make you proud,' he wrote.

The actor also opened up about why he chose to be part of the project. He revealed that director Vignesh Srikanth was introduced to him two years ago by a mutual friend, director Surrya. 'When the narration was done I told Srikanth that I would definitely like to be a part of his film. The reason being that it's a clean film. And when I say clean, I mean no violence, no foul language, no drinking, no smoking, no abusing women... nothing toxic. It just felt real. A very simple, cute, emotional, musical love story about heartbreak, moving on, hope and a lot of love,' Arjun Das said.

Arjun Das extended his thanks to producer Yuvaraj and Million Dollar Studios for backing the project. He reserved special praise for his co-stars, saying: 'A big big thank you to both of these absolutely wonderful women — Aditi and Sona, for being amazing and helping me play Raghu. If not for the both of you, I don't know if I would have been able to pull this one off.'
