Renowned playback singer Sonu Nigam shared a nostalgic photograph on his Instagram, featuring a moment where he is seen washing her feet. In a heartfelt caption, he expressed, “Today marks the end of one of the greatest vocalists of all time. The last standing champion of the Pioneering Era of Indian Film music has taken her leave today, bidding us a final farewell. She lived an extraordinary life, filled with extreme challenges that led to her exceptional greatness.”

He continued, “Her music reached billions across decades, inspiring us all with her vibrant spirit. I cherish my journey with her from our first meeting in 1994, through our last concert together in December 2024, and our final two duets last year, filled with immense joy and pride. All I can say is you have departed, but my heart is still full. Until we meet again. Omshanti” (sic).

Shreya Ghoshal also took to social media to express her sorrow, stating, “We have lost a voice that shaped generations… a spirit that transformed music itself. Asha Bhosle ji wasn’t merely legendary; she was boundless. I grew up listening to her, learning from her, and admiring her effortless versatility… Her ability to bring every note to life and every emotion to touch us personally was unmatched.”
