Mumbai, May 11 (NationPress) Renowned television star Asha Negi recently took to social media to share her thoughts on the recent events impacting the nation.
The 'Pavitra Rishta' star expressed that the tensions between India and Pakistan left her feeling quite overwhelmed.
In a heartfelt message on Instagram, she wrote, "Operation Sindoor has left me with emotions that are difficult to articulate. I felt a deep sense of pride. Proud that my country took a decisive, strong stance against terrorism, demonstrating focus, clarity, and courage in our actions."
Negi further mentioned that she has not been herself lately, reflecting on what our soldiers, who protect our borders, must be enduring.
"The past few days have been particularly heavy. I found myself feeling somewhat lonely, which is unusual for me," she noted.
"If we feel this weight just by staying at home and watching updates, I can hardly fathom what our soldiers on the frontlines are experiencing, or what the families living near the LOC must endure. Their strength and courage transcend any words we can express," added Negi.
After the announcement of a ceasefire, she shared her relief, stating, "Upon hearing the ceasefire news, there was a wave of relief. I stepped outside and ran into my neighbor who mentioned they were celebrating and sharing sweets in the garden."
Emphasizing unity during these challenging times, the 'Baarish' actress remarked, "Things feel calmer now, but we must not take this for granted. We need to remain united. Now is not the time to argue over differing ideologies or beliefs."
"Let’s send strength, healing, and love across this land we cherish. Jai Hind," she concluded.
After days of tension, India and Pakistan reached a ceasefire agreement on Saturday; however, Pakistan violated this ceasefire shortly after.
