Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, March 24 (NationPress) Actor Babil Khan, the son of the late renowned actor Irrfan Khan, has returned to the filming scene, initiating work on his latest project in Bhopal.
Recently, Babil posted a video from his vanity van stating, “Back to the grind, time to make you proud again.”
Details regarding the project he is currently involved in remain undisclosed.
A source familiar with the situation remarked, “Babil is thrilled to be back on set. Acting is a grounding force for him, and being in front of the camera once more feels very organic. The message he shared is from the sets of his new project, which he has just begun filming in Bhopal.”
Last month, Babil was engaged in training for the martial arts discipline of Muay Thai, which he practiced during his stay in Thailand.
A source close to IANS previously mentioned: “Babil spent time in Thailand from December to early January to train in Muay Thai. He attended various classes to master this form of MMA originating from Thailand.”
“He has been preparing for this upcoming project that necessitates rigorous training, set to commence mid-2026,” the source added.
The source explained that Muay Thai demands significant stamina, control, and discipline.
“His newfound passion for the sport has led many to speculate that this could be preparation for an upcoming role,”
Babil began his career as a camera assistant on the Bollywood film Qarib Qarib Single. He made his acting debut in 2022 with Anvita Dutt's psychological drama Qala, featuring Triptii Dimri.
In 2023, he portrayed Siddharth Menon, the son of Juhi Chawla, in Friday Night Plan. He also appeared in the web series The Railway Men, which focuses on the Bhopal Gas Tragedy, alongside Divyendu Sharma, Kay Kay Menon, and R. Madhavan.
Last year, in October, Babil made a return to Instagram after nearly six months of absence from the platform.
In May 2025, Babil deleted his Instagram account, leading to an untraceable web search for his profile.
Previously, Babil had shared a video (now deleted) expressing his feelings of isolation within the film industry, visibly emotional as he discussed his experiences.
