Babil Khan Celebrates Women's Day with Heartfelt Message for Mom Sutapa Sikdar
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, March 8 (NationPress) Actor Babil Khan celebrated his "first best friend", his mother Sutapa Sikdar, on this year’s Women's Day.
Babil shared three delightful photos capturing a joyful moment with his mother on his official Instagram account.
The star of 'The Railway Men' expressed his heartfelt wishes with the words, "The first best friend, The first connection, The first woman to set the precedent, for all the women to come. My mother. For me. Happy Women’s Day. (sic)"
Interestingly, Babil encountered a little hiccup while trying to tag his mother in the post. He humorously noted that he initially searched for "mamma" instead of her actual handle, Sutapa Sikdar.
(I was tagging her to this post and started wondering why I couldn’t find her account; I realized I was searching for “@mamma”), the 'Logout' actor added.
Turning to his professional endeavors, Babil has been training in Muay Thai in Thailand since February for an upcoming project expected to begin filming by mid-2026.
A source revealed to IANS, “Babil spent time in Thailand from December to early January to train in Muay Thai. He enrolled in various classes to master this traditional martial art.”
“He’s been preparing intensively for this imminent project that necessitates rigorous training as it goes on floors in mid-2026,” the source further explained.
For those unfamiliar, Babil began his career as a camera assistant in his late father Irrfan Khan's film "Qarib Qarib Single".
In 2022, Babil made his acting debut in Anvita Dutt's psychological drama "Qala", where he starred alongside Triptii Dimri.
