Mumbai, Nov 26 (NationPress) Legendary Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan shared a captivating story regarding his film ‘Ganga Ki Saugand’. While he was known as the quintessential angry young man of his time, he felt a wave of fear when asked to mount a horse and traverse the Ganga river.
The producers of the quiz-based reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ released a promo on Wednesday featuring Sudesh Lehri and Kiku Sharda.
Recalling the filming of ‘Ganga Ki Saugand’, Big B remarked, “There was a scene shot in Rishikesh. Our director instructed, ‘You will sit on a horse and ride across that bridge’. Upon seeing the Ganga below, I instinctively began singing an aarti for the river. As I sang, I urged the horse forward, and it galloped over the bridge. I was able to escape safely.”
This latest episode showcases the two comedians, while the next will feature the members of the World Cup-winning Indian Women’s Cricket team, including skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, Harleen Kaur Deol, Richa Ghosh, Shafali Verma, Deepti Sharma, Sneh Rana, and head coach Amol Muzumdar.
It promises to unite two of the country’s greatest passions, cricket and quizzing. Audiences can expect delightful moments, on-field stories, team spirit, and dynamic exchanges between the players and host Amitabh Bachchan. This episode will further honor the prowess and pride of India’s Women in Blue, although India's explosive opener Smriti Mandhana seems to have missed out.
Earlier this month, India defeated South Africa, mirroring the Men’s cricket team's victory over them in the T20 World Cup 2024 Final.
‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ airs on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV.
