Billie Eilish Shares the Significance of Listening to Fans Sing 'The Greatest' at Live Shows

Los Angeles, Dec 18 (NationPress) Singer-songwriter Billie Eilish considers that singing the song 'The Greatest' during concerts is truly an extraordinary experience.

In a discussion with Apple Music in honor of being named artist of the year, Eilish, 22, expressed her delight in hearing her fans sing along to 'The Greatest' from her 2024 album 'Hit Me Hard' and 'Soft', as reported by 'People' magazine.

“When I performed my first show of the current tour, 'The Greatest' held a lot of significance for us. I performed 'The Greatest' and removed one of my in-ears, allowing me to hear a massive arena filled with fans singing it,” the Oscar winner recounted.

She elaborated, “They were singing along to every other song too, but there was something uniquely profound about hearing that particular song, which carries deep meaning and memories for me, especially regarding the creative process we shared while making it.”

“Seeing and hearing the crowd sing it gave me real-time evidence of the impact my work has on people. That experience is incredibly meaningful to me,” she added.

According to 'People', the singer made the live debut of the song in June during her appearance on 'The Stephen Colbert Show'.

“Man, am I the greatest/ My congratulations/ All my love and patience/ All my admiration/ All the times I waited/ For you to want me naked/ Made it look painless/ Man, am I the greatest,” she performed in the ironically confident chorus.

Fans have speculated about whether the song pertains to a romantic relationship or her connection with fame, a subject she has openly discussed.
