Chennai, June 28 (NationPress) The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has officially granted an 'A' certificate for the emotional action drama 'Thammudu', directed by Sriram Venu and starring actor Nithiin in the principal role.
Sri Venkateswara Creations, the film's production company, announced this exciting news on their X account, stating, "Action, Adventure, and Adrenaline-pumping moments. The epic journey of #Thammudu takes a new turn with 'A' from Censor. The purpose and promise justifies everything!! #ThammuduOnJuly4th."
Nithiin also confirmed the film's A rating from the Censor Board, sharing, "The epic journey of #Thammudu takes a new turn with 'A' from the Censor."
Set to premiere on July 4, the film has generated significant buzz among fans and cinephiles alike, particularly because it marks actress Laya's return to the silver screen. It’s noteworthy that Laya completed her dubbing for the film just last week and portrays the character of Jhansi Kiranmayee.
A teaser released by the filmmakers earlier this month reveals that Nithiin plays a skilled archer, with the narrative exploring the profound bond between a brother and sister, as she strives to uphold her promise.
The plot unfolds in a unique location called Ambaragodugu, characterized by its singular entry and exit points. The area is populated with grim characters, making it evident that once you enter, leaving becomes a daunting challenge.
The teaser hints that Nithiin's sister and her young child find themselves ensnared in this location, urging him to keep his distance for their safety.
The teaser concludes with a powerful line from Nithiin: "You are considered dead even if you are alive if you can't keep your word. You are considered alive even if you are dead when you keep your promise."
In addition to Nithiin and Laya, the film features a talented cast including Sapthami Gowda, Saurabh Sachdeva, Swasika, Hari Teja, Srikanth Iyyengar, Temper Vamshi, Chammak Chandra, and Varsha Bollamma.
Produced by Raju and Shirish, the film's music is by B. Ajaneesh Loknath, with cinematography by K.V. Guhan, Sameer Reddy, and Setu. Editing is handled by Sh Prawin Pudi, while art direction is managed by G M Sekhar.
Stunt choreography is credited to Vikram Mor, Real Satish, Ravi Verma, and Ram Krishan.
