Chennai, Oct 18 (NationPress) The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has officially granted approval for the highly anticipated horror comedy 'Thamma', directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and starring Rashmika Mandanna, with a U/A certificate for its release.
The distribution company, Asian Suresh Entertainment, which will be presenting the Telugu version of 'Thamma', announced the news on their X timeline, showcasing a poster confirming the film's clearance by the Censor Board. Ever since the trailer was unveiled, the film has generated significant buzz among audiences.
The trailer opens with Rashmika introducing Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s character, Yakshasan, who is portrayed as a guardian of the world. However, he soon turns against his role and becomes the 'Thamma' himself. The trailer also teases some romantic interactions between Ayushmann and Rashmika.
Before long, Alok (played by Ayushmann) faces the terrifying reality of becoming a vampire, complete with fangs and a missing heartbeat. This transformation sets him off on a path filled with unforeseen hurdles related to his new existence.
It's worth noting that Rashmika could not attend the trailer launch due to filming commitments for 'Cocktail 2'.
