Mumbai, Oct 17 (NationPress) In a candid interview with IANS, Chahat Pandey, a well-known figure in the television realm, shared her thoughts on the qualities she seeks in a life partner.

When posed the question, "What kind of partner do you envision for yourself, Chahat?" she responded with sincerity.

Chahat emphasized that she is not in search of perfection, but values such as loyalty, honesty, hard work, and respect.

She expressed, "I don’t want perfection; just a few fundamental attributes—loyalty, honesty, hard work, respect, and being a good human being. The rest I can manage! (laughs) These qualities are non-negotiable for me."

Recently, Chahat made her comeback to television with Balaji Telefilms' exciting new series, "Saas Bahu Aur Swaad".

When questioned about how this show stands out from typical saas-bahu narratives, Chahat explained, "What makes this series unique is its focus on empowerment rather than the usual toxic dynamics where the mother-in-law dominates and the daughter-in-law suffers."

"Saas Bahu Aur Swaad is centered around empowerment and mutual respect. The relationship between a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law can be uplifting, and that’s what we aim to showcase—two women uplifting each other and pursuing their aspirations together," she elaborated.

Chahat, portraying the role of Riya in the series, shared insights about her character, stating, "Riya is not a weak or crying figure. She confronts challenges head-on, stands up for herself, and is supported wholeheartedly by her husband, Karan."

"Every woman deserves such a partner! With her mother-in-law's backing, Riya strives to realize her dreams—that’s the essence of this narrative," she further added.

The story revolves around Indu Rastogi (portrayed by Aparna Ghosal), a homemaker whose cooking skills bind the family together. However, Riya's arrival changes the household dynamics, igniting a clash between tradition and modernity.
