Choreographer Rajit Dev Teaches Karan Aujla the Hookstep in Just 10 Minutes

Mumbai, Dec 15 (NationPress) Choreographer Rajit Dev disclosed that he taught the Punjabi star Karan Aujla the hookstep for Aaye Haaye in just a brief span of 10 minutes.
“With every song, I approach it as something new and distinct. The elements of this song are particularly unique. Featuring the current hitmaker Karan Aujla and the enchanting Nora Fatehi adds to its charm. As I often mention, I connect with a song and allow its mood to guide my choreography,” Dev explained.
“During our rehearsals, my team and I collaborated and ended up crafting exceptional choreography for Aaye Haaye,” he noted.
The choreographer expressed his happiness about frequently collaborating with the dancing diva Nora Fatehi on her music videos.
“It is quite challenging to create fresh concepts consistently, posing a test for both Nora and me to deliver outstanding performances each time. I’m aware of her strengths and areas for improvement, and I tailor my movements accordingly,” he stated.
He added: “This time posed a challenge for her as she was recovering from an ankle injury. I have never encountered someone so devoted to their craft; she practiced dancing on the sand during filming. Despite her swollen foot, one would never realize it from her performance. I truly admire her and find inspiration in her dedication.”
The choreographer enjoys working with Nora as it allows him to explore various creative avenues.
Describing her as a choreographer's dream, he continued: “I believe our partnership resembles that of Saroj ji with Madhuri ma’am and Govinda alongside Ganesh Masterji. My peers often comment, and I have noticed the audience's feedback, that when it’s a Nora and Rajit collaboration, it’s guaranteed to be an electrifying dance track. Furthermore, this was my inaugural song with Karan Aujla, which adds to its significance.”
Discussing the choreography, he mentioned, “Karan Aujla has never performed dance sequences in any of his previous songs, yet Nora and I consistently ensure that the choreography is top-notch throughout the track.
“I envisioned having Karan execute a hookstep for this song. While he was in his vanity van during the shoot, I approached him and imparted the steps in just 10 minutes. He graciously agreed to give it a try.”
The choreographer remarked: “We jammed together and made the hookstep look incredibly stylish. I’m receiving tremendous praise for Karan's dancing and his ability to vibe with the music. I’m thrilled that we all created wonderful memories while shooting this song.”
