Mumbai, Aug 3 (NationPress) Actor Chunky Panday is marking Friendship Day with his school buddies. On Sunday, he took to Instagram to post a series of photos from his reunion with friends from St Andrews.
In the snapshots, the actor appears to be enjoying himself, sharing laughter and making unforgettable memories with his pals.
He captioned the post, “With all my schoolmates, the Andrean Boys. A night of Biryani, Booze and Banter. Love these guys. St Andrews class of 1978. Thanks Robin K for hosting us.”
Chunky hails from a prestigious medical family, with both his parents being doctors. His father, Sharad Panday, is a renowned heart surgeon credited with introducing mitral valve replacement surgery in India.
In other news, Chunky’s nephew Ahaan Panday is making waves in Bollywood with his debut film, ‘Saiyaara’. The film has had a fantastic opening, grossing INR 21.5 crore in India. Meanwhile, ‘Son of Sardaar 2’, featuring Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur, saw its release pushed back after being overshadowed by the success of ‘Saiyaara’, which opened at INR 7.25 crore, according to the industry tracker Sacnilk.
‘Saiyaara’ has made a significant impact on this generation, reminiscent of how ‘Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai’ resonated with millennials and ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’ did for Generation X.
Previously, director Mohit Suri noted that due to the film’s success, he’s been unable to spend time with his family, dedicating his evenings to monitoring box office performance and theater attendance.
Understandably, his wife, actress Udita Goswami, has voiced her concerns regarding his hectic schedule. However, he expressed contentment with the situation, stating, “Every evening I sit with my phone from 6 PM to 9 PM, eagerly waiting for calls. This response from the audience is truly special.”
The film is now approaching the INR 300 crore milestone, marking a significant achievement for both Mohit and the industry in terms of debut films.
