Mumbai, April 14 (NationPress) Filmmaker Aditya Chopra’s stage rendition of the Bollywood masterpiece - "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" is set for its UK premiere this May at the Manchester Opera House.

Prior to the UK launch of "Come Fall in Love – The DDLJ Musical", the leading actors of the show—Jena Pandya and Ashley Day—made a visit to the Southall Gurdwara during the significant festival of Baisakhi. The pair, portraying Simran and Rog respectively, sought divine blessings ahead of their performance.

Directed by Aditya Chopra and produced by Yash Raj Films, "Come Fall in Love – The DDLJ Musical" draws inspiration from Chopra’s legendary 1995 Bollywood film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ)—one of the most celebrated and longest-running films in Indian cinema.

Set in both the UK and India, this musical showcases a cross-cultural romance, featuring 18 entirely new English songs crafted by the esteemed Indian duo Vishal Dadlani & Sheykhar Ravjiani, with lyrics by Nell Benjamin and choreography by Rob Ashford.

Alongside the previously mentioned Jena Pandya (known for Bhangra Nation, Mamma Mia) as Simran and Ashley Day (from An American in Paris, Dynasty) as Rog, the cast includes Irvine Iqbal as Baldev, Kara Lane as Minky, Harveen Mann-Neary as Lajjo, Amonik Melaco as Ben, Millie O’Connell as Cookie, Ankur Sabharwal as Ajit, Kinshuk Sen as Kuljit, and Russell Wilcox as Rog Sr..
